Designed the jacket and label for the second solo album by Masaya Yamauchi, a holder of the Important Intangible Cultural Property “Ryukyuan Dance (Song and Sanshin)” designated by the Japanese government.
The album title, Tani no Hibiki (“The Resonance of the Glen”), is inspired by the teachings of the Japanese Zen monk Dogen, who taught that continuous listening to the murmuring of streams, the chirping of birds, the cries of animals, and the rustling of leaves purifies the mind.
Design Concept:
- Overall:
Expressed the album’s sense of tranquility by using a monochrome, minimalist design. - Front Jacket & Label:
A pitch-black circle floating in darkness symbolizes both the COVID-19 virus itself and the sun’s corona eclipsed by the virus, representing a world overshadowed and confined by the pandemic. - Back Jacket:
A brilliant circle representing the sun after an eclipse expresses a hopeful, post-COVID-19 world filled with light.

国指定重要無形文化財「琉球舞踊」（歌三線）保持者である山内 昌也氏のソロセカンドアルバムのジャケット＆レーベルを制作。
アルバムタイトルの「渓の響」とは、日本の禅僧・道元禅師の言葉によるもので、小川のせせらぎや、鳥のさえずり、動物の鳴き声、木の葉のすれる音などに耳を傾け続けることにより、心が浄化されると解いている。
デザインコンセプトは以下の通り。
- 全体：モノクロでシンプルに仕上げることで、「渓の響」の静寂さを表現
- 表ジャケット＆レーベル：暗闇の中に浮かぶ真っ黒な円によって、「新型コロナウイルス」そのものと「影（コロナウイルス）に侵食された太陽のコロナ」、そして閉塞した世界を表現
- 裏ジャケット：日食のあとの燦々と輝く太陽を模した円によって、希望に満ちたアフターコロナの世界を表現
